- On-site Meetings or Seminars

Since 1980, Carol Fleming’s interactive training seminars have been featured at corporations, colleges and professional organizations throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. These organizations have benefited from her workshops, seminars and coaching because she can tailor the group work specifically to the needs of the company. Both management and employees have access to the concepts and skills that help them break through the logjams of communication.

Some examples:

  • Employees in a firm with Chinese employees needed education in the meaning of American metaphors in order to understand the business people they were dealing with. (“I couldn’t get to first base with him!” “Make hay when the sun shines.”, “He got up on the wrong side of the bed.”)
  • Another company hired several young people fresh out of college and wanted to send them out to represent the company. While these persons were very well trained in their subject matter, they were totally at a loss at how to present themselves as mature business people. This ‘presence and polish” does not magically appear at graduation!  It has to be taught.
